When your mind rarely lets you rest.

Perhaps you replay conversations, prepare for every possible outcome, or feel responsible for keeping everyone happy. Even when things are going well, it can be difficult to trust that you have done enough.

Anxiety may show up in relationships, work, or everyday decisions. We begin with how it affects you—not with an expectation that you should simply be able to relax.

More than another way to overthink.

I’m Rob LeLaurin, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based in Chicago. My approach combines careful listening with direct, practical work. Together, we identify the patterns that keep anxiety going and explore what those patterns are trying to protect you from.

Depending on your needs, therapy may draw on cognitive behavioral approaches, mindfulness, and attachment-informed work. We can examine rigid expectations, practice responding to uncertainty, and build ways of relating to yourself that do not depend on constant self-criticism.

We also pay attention to the context: past experiences, trauma, and relationship patterns may be part of what makes the present feel difficult.

Therapy that fits your life.

Sessions take place online, with clients in Chicago and throughout Illinois. You need a private space and a reliable connection. We will discuss your goals and decide together where to begin.

Do I need an anxiety diagnosis?

No diagnosis is required to request a consultation. You can start with the worry, tension, avoidance, or overthinking that is affecting your life. We will discuss assessment and treatment needs together.

What should I share in the inquiry?

A brief description of what you are hoping for is enough. You do not need to tell your whole story before we meet.

You can make room for something different.

Request a brief consultation to talk about what you are looking for and whether we would be a good fit.
